The Adrover Family became established in this area during the XVII century when the danger of raids from North African pirates began to diminish. The house, and the family, were known as Can Bessol, the diminutive of "bassa" (little lake). From that time every generation of this family has lived on the land, adapting to each epoch's requirements. In 1997 the two young members of the family, Toni and Jaume, started to restore their grandparents' old home including the outbuildings and stables. The original atmosphere and characteristics as well as the furnishings have been preserved in order to offer the charming result as a complementary activity to their agricultural work: cultivation of their land, from which they harvest almends, carob and cereals; and Toni Bessol, the father, who is on the point of retiring, is in charge of a large flock of Mallorquin sheep.
